Very well made. Legs feel a little bit odd, you want to squeeze them at the knee to make sure they are connected tight, but since that is the only place they connect, it doesn't feel super sturdy. Other than that, it is a very well done figure. Recommend

This guy really looks the part when you are going to cartoon accuracy. The slimmer look than Takara really makes him stand apart from the official mold.
His transformation is a little fiddly but I have definitely had much worse one.
The top part between his shoulders and neck are kind of unsightly but It is a pretty small gripe.

This figure and Badcube's Steamroll will be the fist figures I've ever pulled official MP's of the shelf to replace with third party. These figures are fantastic, cartoon accurate, and surprisingly have more variations in transformation between each other than I had expected.

First of all lets get the cons out of the way. THe transformation is fiddly. There are a lot of small, thin parts.and even though everything locks together securly in both modes, mid transformation is like it explodes into a floppy mess if delicate parts.
The windows above the doors dont really go anywhere. Its not bad from the front, but if you life the arm too much or turn it arround, it's very visible
The knees look a litte strange at a few angles. and there is a hollow area at the top the shoulder rocket due to it sharing parts with steamroll but missing a fe compononets for the proper asthetic. I wish they could have plugged it up.


Now for the positive. If you're going for cartoon accuracy, this figure blows the Takara offerings out of the water, the shoulder doors alone are worth price of admission if you're looking for a toon look. The way the chest replaces the center of the hood with a thinner false hood, keeps the figures from tooking too wide and bulky.
Recon in particular, due to his difference in trasformation, looks better from the side than Steamroll, and I appriciate the optional white covers included to hide the lights on the hood for even more toon accuracy. Both the gun and rocket store in the vehicle mode wit out looking like tacked on external afterthoughts.
