Pros

-Added height really helps the figure no longer feel stumpy or undersized

-Collapsable legs are easy to work with shifting between modes

-Hinge-mounted wheel really helps to fill out the alt mode gaps

Cons

-The leg armor doesn't secure as well on the new legs as they did the old ones. They don't fall off, but it's definitely not as tight a fit.

-Conversely, the trailer attaches TOO tightly and causes the hook connector to pull right out of the legs. It re-inserts easily enough, but wondering if I should just glue it in, or try to transplant the original leg hooks into the new legs somehow.

-Hinge-mounted wheel requires you to bend plastic to transform it. It doesn't feel flimsy, but it really doesn't feel good either

-New weapons are undersized.

As the review title suggests this kit is an awesome upgrade to in my opinion an already good, not great figure siege Ultra Magnus figure. DNA- Design upgrade kit helps push this figure over the good, not great threshold into Awesome territory. The added height and aesthetic of the improvements is a blessing. DNA Design did the right thing going back to the drawing board when this upgrade piece was first revealed and improved greatly on it. The kit is easy to install. Just pop off the original legs add the new ones and that's it. No modding or undoing any screws is necessary. If I had to say one thing that might be a little unsettling it would be removing the wheels on the original legs to the new ones would be all. Other than that you won't be disappointed with this kit

I am NOT disappointed. This figure adds a bit more height to both his base can figure and the regular appearance we know today. I finally feel he is now properly proportioned and you can pose him a lot better now that the back of his leg won't hit that junk in his trunk. The only difficulty I had was removing the wheels from original Magnus's legs to the upgrade kit and two if the wheels don't rotate as freely. While there are people that don't like his vehicle mode, I love it. It doesn't hinder transformation at all and it doesn't extend the cab in the alt mode.
Overall, I give DK-14 a 9.5 out of 10 and I highly recommend it if you didn't preorder it!
