Mirage is my favorite Autobot car and TE did a great job with this figure for the most part. The only letdown was the green ankle on the right leg that sticks out like a sore thumb. I made the effort to buy some model paint to make it less noticeable but, in the end, I would not have paid for it if I knew the wrong colored ankle was going to be on the figure.

Excellent figure if you are looking for the 1980s G1 look for your collection.

Once you get your frustrations out of the way. It is not so bad after all, but it's not all that great either. Engineering on this thing is serious, so brush up on your mechanical comprehension. There are lots of pegging, folding, and sliding around.
PROS: Very solid in both robot and vehicle mode (once you get all the tabs tabbed and sliding parts properly slid and extended without breaking the toys, so just ... BREATHE for a moment okay, and know your own strength),
CONS: To my luck, my copy had scratches all over his chest that I may not be able cover up with just an autobot logo. Unless I put a whole bunch of unnecessary decals on it, but that would defeat the whole cartoon accuracy thing that I went with this figure for. 1 star off. There's no paper instruction (you scan a QR code and it will take you to bunch of videos in Chinese), I imagine because transformation is quite complex. I had to take another star off for that so that makes 3/5. That part with the shoulder cannon, there's some forcing around to get that done.
Recommendation. Just ... try your best to have fun with it.

I have no idea how any of these passed QC. Like the seeming majority of people who purchased this figure, several panels are molded in bluish-green plastic. On my copy, the piece attached to the right foot is an almost forest green(hidden in car mode, but visible in robot mode), while those on either side of the seat(in car mode, but hidden in robot mode) are a dark turquoise. Hideous.
Every other aspect is perfect: engineering, G1 aesthetics, details and sculpting are all stunning, exceeding all other current options by a significant margin.
I get it, Transform Element is new to the game, but this kind of thing is unacceptable for a $100 figure. From what I've heard, both TE and TFSource are neither refunding purchases nor supplying replacement parts, making everything that much worse. I'll see what I can do with some paint, I guess...

Acquired mine on Jan 2021. Some or all the figures in this batch has a green foot (green plastic instead of blue). Unnoticable in robot mode but you WILL see it in car mode. Beware of that.
Also the spoiler pin came out while transforming, hardly an issue, but beware that its very tight.
I recommend this figure if:
A- You get a properly colored one or don't mind the green foot.
B- Aren't ham fisted with it while transforming it.

I was really excited for this one but it has some glaring issues that have dampened my mood on it a bit. First off, two big bits of paint chipping on the part that holds the engine. Not so bad since it’s at least in the back and out of the way. But it seems this second run is plagued with one or even both ankle panels being a dark green.
I get transform element is new to this, especially compared to fanstoys or maketoys so you can’t expect the same quality but this just seems inexcusable. But at the same time I absolutely dig everything else about him, he’s great looking. If at the very least the ankle panel was the actual right color, I’d give him a four or maybe even a five even with the paint chipping on the back. I hope this company really pulls their qc team together cause I’m still interested in what they can do in the future. But until then, I’m going to be very cautious with them for now

I am happy with this company so far. They have really surprised me with the G1 releases and this one has made me happy.
The only real problem I had was the hip being miss assembled and I had a random green panel on the leg, but easy fix. Still a great mirage to add to your collection.

He look exactly like in the cartoon. He look great standing next to jazz, and sunsteak. Trust me he is worthy to have it.
