If you want the flash that I see when I picture Blaster and his persona, then this is a must for his representation. Outside of that I wish there was different engineering, everything is just OK. But for me the fantastic look captures the character like no other version made.

I've wanted this figure for ages and finally pulled the trigger. Quick delivery to Canada, arrived in fantastic condition and great communication throughout. The toy itself is great. An absolute pleasure. I'll be buying all my 3rd Party TF through here now. Thank you!

Title says it all folks. The only reason to buy this figure at all is because no one else has made him, yet. Both Transitor and Hifi joints are loose. it's impossible to pose Hifi at all so he sits in the chest. Transitor needs support to not go toppling over.

The fact I wanted a Scale model of Blaster..I purchased it for that reason but will not be transforming him again after almost breaking him twice!!!! Tread lightly, watch videos before attempting if you have heavy hands!!!!

I loved this figure so much in the original color that I bought the Metallic version. Takara needs to step up their game and stop rebuilding versions of G1 transformers they released already.

He looks great, don't get me wrong. He's an impressive addition... until you pick him up.

Made from what is likely the thinnest and lightest plastic ever, his tabs don't all stay in, in boom box mode his frame has odd empty spaces that just make him look incomplete, and his scale just seems a bit too big for 'masterpiece' collection.
Kinda wish I was able to hold him before buying. I would have passed on him.

I'd definately recommend this figure. It was waaay ahead of its time for when it was first released. Like most of the MP scale figs, the instructions are so-so but YouTube provides those answers. I bought the first release around 2-3 yrs ago and it still holds up with the rest of my collection (especially with toxhax sticker set). One drawback is that the metallic paint can chip if handled carelessly. Mine came with the tape though and I don't know if this one does or not. Strong reccomend.

Excellent KFC version of Blaster but my stupid ace accidentally broke his left arm off while transforming him into stereo mode. Now I need to glue it back on but I’d reccomend buying the true red version that comes with HiFi. Mine didn’t include the little dude.

Finally pulled the trigger on this bad boy. The box was a little worse for wear, but I think that's on KFCs end. Hi Fis heads are in desperate need of touch ups but the iDW head looks good and I prefer that one anyway. As for Transitor himself... He's a beaut.. I was hesitant to transform him but I had to. No paint chipping anywhere. I recommend looking on YouTube for proper instructions. The ones that he comes with are lacking to say the least. I just have to 'future' some joints to tighten him up a bit. 100% happy with this purchase.... That is until Takara makes one!!! Do it...do it...

From previous KFC purchases, I was expecting bad QC of the product, but to my surprise, this Transformer is pretty decent. Great size to match Masterpiece SoundWave. Due to other reviews of the paint issue, I don't think I will transform him and I see what people are talking about when they say the paint job of HiFi is bad... sign.. you think after reading these reviews they would fix the issue. Overall, for display it is awesome!

So this guy is a take on blaster if he was a masterpiece figure. That being said. I have two small gripes. First, as is my issue with most third parties. the instructions are in need of work. I liked the comic book that came with this guy. But, I would have forgone that for better instructions . ( bless youtube). Second tabs, and slots, slots and tabs. I know they can't be avoided sometimes but wow. They were heavy with this figure. Now with this out of the way. I only used you tube for his arms the rest of the transformation I found pretty straight forward and got myself. He is a good solid feel in both molds. And a great piece held up against mp soundwave. Which BTW I couldn't wait to do straight out of the box. Hifi was enjoyable and again stacks well against mp rumble and frenzy. There were complaints about paint chipping. This was not the case with mine all paint effects were good. And I enjoyed the use of the metallic red over a plain red. This was my first venture with keiths fantasy club, and I have a feeling it won't be my last. Especially now that he needs more of his cassettes.

Transistor is a very nice figure. I didn't think I would like a third party figure since this is my first. The transformation is awesome and genius how they configured it to be donE, the way they hide things is awesome! There is only one major problem.......... the paint application is very weak, I was only 1/4 into the transformation and it look like glitter on my transformation pad, and in alt mode in missing a noticeable size piece of paint, a bit of an eye sore, as my soundwave is chip free. So all in all the figure is wonderful, but keep in your mind it is not excellent, which it could be! But the paint application doesn't allow this, so die to this I can only give 4 stars. Hopefully this gets addressed.

Have to say I was skeptical about getting this figures as I have found KFC's other products hit and miss but was surprised to see its one amazing figure. I have not suffered paint chipping like others are referring too and my Hi-Fi's paint is great. He def is a step up over their previous cassettes and is up there with MP Rumble. Love the set and love all the extra accessories. Great job KFC.

Great figure, but do yourself a favor and don't transform him. I did it one time and I got paint chipped off in over half a dozen spots where they tab in. The paint on Hifi is really bad. Overall a great figure with tight joints and looks awesome next to Soundwave.

First off, Hifi looks like he was painted by a two year old. I'm not sure what to do with him, will need a repaint to make him displayable... Transistor on the other hand looks great. The metallic paint job seems to be holding up to transformation, no scratches yet! The freaking tape door actually opens when you press the button! My 80's original had to be pried open :P I love his size, and his colors pop. I had to add super glue to a few loose joints to tighten them up, nothing major. All in all a great 'almost MP' transformer. He does look good enough to stand next to MP Soundwave. Hopefully a replacement for Hifi will come around, or KFC sends out an apology with a better quality tapeformer...

KFC has out done them selves on this one, I dare say Takara/Hasbro could have done a better job of this figure. Even the cassette Hi-Fi is outstanding and I hope KFC applies the engineering and quality in the rest of their cassettes as this one. A must have for your MP collection you will not regret it.
