I do like the diecast, but the legs are either difficult to work with transforming to car mode or else the engineering isnt great. Things arent even. I dont recommend.

The company seems to have really tried with this figure, it just falls short.

They really tried. The packaging is superb. He's got a display cube with a flight stand, and lots of well-sculpted accessories. But the figure itself needs to be where the most attention is put.

Positives first: Car mode is really smooth, rolls well, and has a pleasant weight from all the die cast. This is also a big problem. Because it does not feel good transforming heavy metal parts attached to thin, fragile-feeling plastic. Plus the metal door panels are too loose, and many of the plastic joints are uncomfortably tight. And getting the hood piece out of the torso is tricky. And the peg that's supposed to hold the pelvis to the torso doesn't. And the arms are way too short. And the backpack doesn't tab in anywhere. And he probably could have used some side panels so it's not just a bare wheel there. And geez, so many third party companies give us loads of extra faces, but not when we really need one. The head itself is not bad, it's just... those lips. :()

For thirty bucks he's fine. And I think he's the only third party Hubcap anyone's done, so if you're a G1 completionist, go for it. More than anything else though, if me buying him brought ACE any closer to releasing their AMAZING-looking Seaspray, then it was worth it.

the peg for the abb's is kinda lose & i don't like the plank the head is on, but overall really good for a company's first outing.also is fairly cheep now,so that's a plus.
