Picked up this guy around the same time as Hardbone and again, the scale is just superior to Fansproject. A jet and/or a tank should be larger than your average automobile. As with Hardbone, he fits right in with Masterpiece figures.

Very simple transformation requires no instructions. Simple, intuitive, and still fun. Like Hardbone, the plastics don't feel cheap resulting in a solid figure. Paint/Plastic colors are nice also, putting to shame much of what Hasbro puts out. Hidden weapons and versatility of mounting them are an added value in my book.

Many folks aren't crazy about the reimagined alt mode for Brainwave, and while I tend to agree with that as a purist, It is still easily identifiable as the character he represents.

Overall, very pleased with this guy, and hope that Toy World has more of these planned.
While FansProject already has planned out their next release with 'Mindwipe', I'm very disappointed to see nothing as of yet for the next Headmaster from ToyWorld.

Shout out to Peaugh and Optibotimus for excellent Youtube reviews of these TW Headmaster figures. My purchase of them are a result of your showcases.

PROS:
-Solid and proportioned
-Well articulated
-Quality paints and plastics
-Scales perfectly with Masterpiece figures
-Has a faceplate!

CONS:
-X-wing alt mode won't please hardcore purists
-No advancement in headmaster head design
-Wish the jet mode wings would peg to back of figure for a more solid feel.

Bought this figure, and I felt that it was pretty solid.
Positives: Very hi grade plastic used. Had some fun features with it. Figures are much bigger than the fansproject counterparts.


Negatives: The head sculpt was sub-par. The head in robot mode seems clunky. I think fansproject had better head sculpts, but their plastic quality is inferior.

Overall I give it a 8/10. Had the head sculpts been better I would gave it a higher grade.
