P-02 Cyberjaw transforms from robot to shark and back and also forms the arm of the mighty combiner Poseidon!
" The (unofficial) Seacons rise. Cyberjaw is awesome."
I am much more excited for the full Poseidon set after receiving Cyberjaw this morning. Even though the transformation is very similar to Bigbite (although with suprising differences), quality control has apparently shot up tremendously. All joints make a reassuring and very tight ratcheting noise. The paint app, which is not something I usually worry about, even seems to be better than Bigbite, who was still an okay figure. The figure stands very well and the colors are wonderfully appealing, and as always the packaging is great. The comic in the instructions has some nice art but the story seems similar to the hilariously disjointed one that came with the original WB01 Warbotron set. (The Poseidonbots are separated/captured/dormant or something, they speak slightly confusing English to each other and they are going to get together and presumably combine and then the end will be a tease to the next TFC product.) Cyberjaw also is the first in the set to come with one of Poseidon's feet, which transforms into a stand for the figures' weapon modes as well as a weapons platform in its own right. Having this chunky, playable and very well engineered accessory has me anticipating completing poseidon with baited breath. One slight issue arises in a hinged clip piece, which sticks off the back of the robot mode's leg and hinders poseability slightly. Not a dealbreaker by any means. Lovely figure with just the right mix of organic curves and angular robotic details.
"Cyberjaw is Awesome, but mine has some quality control issues."
I received my Cyberjaw this morning and it was beyond my expectations as always with TFC toys. however, My combiner pegs and joints where so tight that some of them snapped upon trying to transform it into its weapon base mode. I'm really hoping I can get a replacement foot somehow other than contacting TFC directly I don't know what else to do. It really bummed me out even though the Foot really isn't useful yet.
A mint box generally has no noticeable flaws. This doesn't mean it is a C10 box, but that it doesn't have any significant damage to the box. It still may have wear to the window, and a small amount of wear to the box that is noticeable upon close inspection.
A C9 box is still considered very displayable and may have a kink, ding, minor fray to an edge, etc. The box is still case fresh and unopened with factory sealed tape on both sides.
