First off, the sculpt is very nice. He could use some more paint accents, but overall the look is very good.
However, the hollowness is a shame, and his feet do not rock to support him in much other than standing straight up. He doesn't have enough weight to be stable otherwise.
On the toy that I got, his right arm ratchets very nicely. The left does not, and will not support the weight of either gun.
If this was a $20 toy, these problems would be forgivable. For a $50 toy, the quality is not up top the price.

This guy looks amazing. Nailed his comic look. I have to be honest, that if it wasn't for the great price, though, I might be tempted to give him a lower rating. My biggest issue is with the hands. For one, seems like it could've been doable to make his hands twist. And for two, he has no grip on his guns. It's face more practical to make his giant hammer from the guns and call it a day.
However, I am MORE than happy to have him in my collection (Again, for that price). He's a great piece.

This Figure offers great nostalgia, while still giving a subtle shout out to IDW for the wonderful work they’ve done in regards to help the Genre'. The instructions in this piece left a little to be desired. The way the legs from into Magnus' Feet should have been done differently. But all in all a very good mold.

cant really complain about this mold...good articulation; ratchet joints in the arms, knees, and feet. He is also a fun transformation very similar to the G1 with a few cool changes. Everything tabs in well. He is sturdy and you can adj the cab to stay locked in position or move it from left to right which is cool because it give you options. the cad does not come off; but that's not a big deal; you will be surprised how it transforms! For all those ultra magnus lovers this one is a must have; I'm not a huge fan BUT I do have 5 versions of him now. buy this guy and have fun

As awesome as it is, this figure feels weightless. The licences taken to ensure the adjustment to the production costs left a gorgeous looking figure with less plastic than it should have. Nevertheless, the good range of articulation and the likeness to the IDW depiction of Magnus just tickle me and make giggle. Despite his shortcommings this is an excellent figure and a worthy addition to any collection, I consider it a poor man's alternative to the Masterpiece Ul Mag. Very good!

Leader class molds in my mind lately are comparable in size to some mp figures. And are more cost efficient to people who love the character but don't have 189 dollars for one figure. I was very pleased with this mold and the paint. Not really following the comics I had to refer to a fellow collector..Hi Kyle!! About this minimus ambus guy. Who was a neat little guy. And I like how he fits in to ultra's chest.the instructions were challenging but not so hard as to send me in a fit.

This guy is by far one of my most favourite in my collection. The incarnation represents his IDW comics version and the little Minimus Ambus transforming 'pilot' appeals to both my inner Transformer and Mech Anime geek. Two robots for the price of one. The ability to combine his weapons into a hammer to homage his Animated version is a special touch. Sturdy and no joint looseness for me, most likely I was lucky in the Quality Control department.

Overall, this is a nice figure. It looks good in both modes. The one complaint I have is the shoulder joints are really loose. They just barely hold the arms up while holding the weapons. Unrelated to the figure, the synopsis on the box is kind of sad to read. Basically Ultra Magnus was killed in battle and the little car guy reanimated his body as an exoskeleton with him riding in the chest. They talk it up about the forces of justice couldn't allow him to fall, but to me it's a little messed up as a story especially for kids. Maybe they were playing to the zombie crowd.
