I give this guy 4 stars. The accessories are great. the transformation is clean, and there is no kibble seen in Dino mode. Severo himself is not what excepted and I think that's a good thing. He transforms well, and has decent articulation, but one complaint is that his face does not look like Grimlock at all. My only other complaint is that the arms and shoulders are attached to this wheel that is used for transformation, but its does not lock in place, nor have ratchets all that keep it from moving. If you move the left arm at all that wheel spins. The right arm is little more forgiving.
All in all this is a pretty good figure. If you want some more Dino's in your life, Fansproject did a pretty good job.

This is a nice classics-style Grimlock. His robot mode looks great, and the throne is an awesome display piece. I like his transformation. His dino-mode has a stumpy tail and I do understand people's issue with that. It doesn't bother me to much, I usually keep him in robot mode. Plastic is typical Fansproject, which is good, but I hav heard some people not liking the way it feels. He is not light or anything, he feels solid, and tight. I can't wait for their Snarl figure to complete the set.

Ok.. I have watched figure reviews on this and was a bit underwhelmed. Having this figure in hand though he is pretty awesome.. Not the best in the line sadly but the throne makes up for that. There are definitely some weak points. The circular shoulder joints have no where to really tab in at so when you move the actual shoulder that circle that it connects to tends to rotate.. It's kind of annoying. On this version he comes with a crown which should be obvious how it fits but it does not fit very well.. Atheistically speaking his Tail in dino mode is way to stubby It's cute but Grimlock should not be cute

Let's get this out of the way first I wish the shoulders locked in, besides that he is great, looks, plastic, paint all good. The accessories for the DX version are worth it, the full battle hammer an throne. I've personally ben having fun seeing who looks good on the throne.

When I got this guy I was stoked. Loved his transformation, Detail, and all around heft. The throne was ornate and beautiful and definitely a great piece of eye candy for the display of the figure. The only thing is that he is smaller than I expected. I expected the king to be larger than the others. This is far from a deal breaker and folks should definitely check him out. And lets be honest when the Brontosaurus is as tall as the pterodactyl in this line and both are shorter than the Triceratops scale is not a thing. However all and I mean all figures in this line and in my opinion are wonderful beautiful pieces. And now they have there king!!!

I have all the "not" dinobots now from fansproject. I love all of them in their own way, and really appreciate how unique each figure is.
I only wish that this set could've been last cause now I feel bad for snarl, with comparing a huge Mjolnir destroying mallet of doom, and the arsenal severo comes with. It's really no contest.
The transformation isn't as as elaborate as I would have liked, and the back tail just seems a pinch fat for me. But other than that It's a really fun addition to the whole set.

The figure came to me yesterday and I freaking love it! The plastic is of high quality, it's very pleasing to look at. If you're a grimlock fan, then this is a MUST to own
